For fear that the egg sac would burst, we didn't squish the spider. Instead, Chris kept an eye on it while I removed the outlet cover, plugged in the vacuum, and turned it to the "hose" setting. He carefully positioned the mouth of the hose right next to the spider and I turned the vacuum on, and then we congratulated each other on a job well done.

That's when I break out the first spray cleaner I can find. Although now it's all that green crap in my house. Great. How am I supposed to kill them now???

LOL! I agree- i usually use some sort of spray to kill spiders and stuff. I have to say there are a lot more spiders out here- im getting used to them. Vacuum a great idea- you think it can make it's way out?!
eeek! What a horrifying idea! I hope not! ...I always sort of hope that the shock of getting sucked up a long tube with that much power will kill them... ick!
That's how we get the ones on the ceiling when neither of us can reach!!
