Lovin' our Library!

Casey and I had a most delicious visit to the library yesterday.

They have a wonderful kids' section, with little Casey-sized chairs and tables, fun puzzles, and a whole wall of little shelves with board books. So Casey had a field day pulling books off the shelves, and I had a field day letting her--so nice to be in a new and exciting place where she's actually allowed to do what she wants to do!

One of the books we found and borrowed was a Little Scholastic book. I was thrilled because Casey's FAVORITE BOOK OF ALL TIME--the book that kept us sane on four planes--is a Little Scholastic book we were given at her baby shower. It's got textures and rhymes and cute animals to name and we love it.

Ha ha-I know! I moved my computer out of Casey's room and now it's so EASY to get on and do stuff! (Which is supposed to be schoolwork but ends up being blogging these days.) I'm loving it.

I must comment on this one. I am a nerd and don't even have any children, but I love the library!! The love affair started when I lived down the street from the LA Central Library... pretty much the most awesome building in downtown LA. If you're in that neck of the woods and haven't been, I would go...but again, I'm a nerd! The San Diego one's very cool too. I've noticed they have lots of play-time and story-time events for kids...once Casey gets a bit older I suppose?
The county library offers free online language learning programs, which is awesome when I am feeling ambitious, and I think they both have a good selection of movies, aside from just the books!
Yeah free stuff! Yeah the library!
